Laspur Ecotourism Enterprise Group (LEEG) in collaboration with Incredible Journeys Pvt. Ltd and Sustainable Tourism Foundation Pakistan (STFP) arranged a 07 days tour package for tourists from across Pakistan. A tented village was established at Harcheen 22 tourists stayed last week and explored the valley and culture. Tourists belonging to Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Quetta and Scotland relished the traditional food and folk music of the Chitral. According to our correspondent the tourists had a great time visiting antiques collection at Harcheen and Baipash houses in Raman and Phargram. The tourists also visited Shandoor and watched the polo final match. Mesmerized by the view of Shandoor lake Nazish, one of the tourists was of the view that it should be promoted more by the tour operators and tourism department.
Laspur Ecotourism Enterprise Group (LEEG) is a newly formed enterprise group of the locals of Laspur Valley supported by Water & Energy Security Project (WES-II) of Aga Khan Rural Support Programme AKRSP Chitral. Mr. Asif Iqbal, Group Leader LEEG, aims to bring more groups to Laspur and promote Laspur valley as the ultimate tourist destination in Chitral. Mr. Atta Ur Rehman, Coordinator Business Development & Ventures AKRSP, said that tourists should be provided with a memorable experience and it is high time that we focus on promoting unique culture of Chitral and stunning landscape around.
